The Linnton Neighborhood Association has received a $500 grant for native plants from the City of Portland, Bureau of Environmental Services (BES). The native plants’ grant is part of BES’s Community Watershed Stewardship Program. The native plants will be planted between St. Helens Road (Highway 30) and the Kingsley Park Community Garden raised beds. The purpose of the native plants and grant program is to benefit water quality and is targeted at non-profits. The planting will occur mid-February, led by Rob Lee and Gail Curtis.
