If you’ve lived in Linnton for more than a few months, you’ve probably heard of Linnton NET and may know that this group is composed of volunteers who support community resilience and help residents prepare for emergencies that Linnton is vulnerable to. We’ve been active for more than a decade but our numbers, while never huge, have decreased — and we’re unable to be as active as we have been in the past. Truth is, we need you! It’s proven that neighbors are safer when they are connected with each other.
NET members usually complete training, but Linnton residents can also join specific resilience and community prep projects. A great way to connect is by joining our Resilience Group an hour before the Linnton Neighborhood Association meeting on Wednesday, October 1 at 6 p.m.
