Neighborhood Association Bylaws Compliance Review

  • A review and facilitated discussion with Stephanie Dolan, NWNW nonprofit attorney, of Neighborhood Association bylaws, to learn best drafting practices for compliance and clarity. Bring your own NA’s bylaws and questions for this working session.

  • Workshop will entail understanding your role in promoting equity in your neighborhood through self-reflective exercises that encourage using your personal experiences, expertise, and connections to promote equity.

Nonprofit Board Member Governance Training

  • This training will be custom-tailored to Neighborhood Associations with 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status. It will cover state and federal legal compliance requirements and potential pitfalls that nonprofits commonly face, including Board member duties and responsibilities, liability, handling Conflicts of Interest and IRS Guidelines, record-keeping requirements for tax-exempt donations, unrelated business income, financial controls, improper private benefit, and more.
