from 9 am to 1 pm.
Local residents and NET volunteers from other parts of the city joined Springville residents for an ivy pull and holly and laurel removal in October. Sponsored by Firewise, Portland Parks forest ecologist Marshall Johnson guided the group. After debris was piled up, it was removed by contractors, paid for with the remaining FEMA grant funds to decrease fire risk.
It’s Linnton Hill’s turn next. Firewise and Parks are supporting an effort here on Saturday, October 28th from
9 am to 1 pm.
We need 10 to 25 folks to join our morning effort. Instruction, tools, and gloves are provided. Camaraderie, coffee and snacks are free. Please consider signing up by emailing Shawn at looneysters@gmail.com
