The City’s Office of Civic Life is rolling out a Social Equity Toolkit to explore ways that neighborhood associations can ensure fair access to community resources and volunteer opportunities that the neighborhood association provides.
Neighborhood profiles are also provided to help association leaders consider demographic characteristics that may impact fairness in treatment including age, gender, race, socioeconomic status, country of origin, and disability status of community members.
Understanding the unique attributes of the Linnton community allows us to develop engagement strategies based on the demographic info. The profile encourages examining characteristics such as population, housing, race/ethnicity, engagement, and educational attainment.
