The Linnton Neighborhood Association’s annual election for the Board of Directors will be postponed to Wednesday, July 5 in order to allow advance notice. This year’s election promises to support new members and provide a smooth transition in board leadership. The ballots will be available at the Linnton Community Center starting at 5:00 pm.
If you are interested in considering being a board member, it’s not too late to add your name. Please contact Shawn Looney, who is leading the Nominating Committee, at looneysters@gmail.com. You can always nominate yourself for any open position at the meeting.
Those interested in serving on the board are also invited to the Wednesday, June 7 Board of Directors meeting to ask questions about serving on the board. The meeting is at 6:30 pm in the Linnton Community Center. You can also contact the board chair, Sarah Taylor, at sarahsojourner@mac.com if you have questions about serving on the board.
The Board has four officer positions, which are always one-year terms, and five at-large positions, which are three-year terms. One at-large position is open this year.
