Update on Hwy 30 and St. Johns Bridge projects

ODOT has multiple Linnton projects in 2023.

The $6,206,310 repaving project from Kittridge Ave. to Bridge Ave. restarts this March and will be completed by the end of summer 2023. There will be new traffic and push button activated pedestrian signals installed at Bridge Ave. and NW Front Ave. at the south end of the bridge and widened bike lanes.

The rockfall mitigation project on Bridge Ave. will enter a second phase. ODOT is designing a rockfall prevention project budgeted at $3,463,704 for the rock slope above NW Bridge Avenue to prevent additional rockfall. The project includes removing hazardous vegetation, scaling loose rock and installing more pinned mesh to prevent rockfall.

Have you noticed scaffolding under the St. Johns Bridgehead? ODOT is repairing the pier columns under the bridge. The concrete is chipping away and exposing the internal steel frame. This $13,284,662 project will protect the bridge’s steel frame and reinforcements from corrosion, maintaining the service life of the bridge.
