The Linnton Taco Block Party really brought the heat. At 98 degrees, the Kingsley Community Garden shimmered, and yet our neighbors still showed up strong. More than sixty folks drifted across the lawn ready to celebrate community.
Long tables filled with beef and chicken tacos, bright salsas, crunchy salads, and bowls of chips. Happy children turned the paths into race tracks, playing tag between towering sunflowers and dahlias while grownups traded neighborhood gossip, stories, and recipes.
The zydeco band hit at six, and the dance lawn woke right up, the music was loved by babies and elders alike. A cooler of homemade sorbets saved the day: peach scoops that tasted like pure summer. Volunteers kept the water flowing, the trash sorted, and the band happy.
A huge thanks to everyone who set up, brought food, donated supplies, and spread the word. Your effort turned a scorching Saturday into a memory. We’re proud of this neighborhood, and grateful for every hand that helped. Music, laughter, and kindness carried us.
See you next year! Save the Date:
