Based on our high local risk, per the October report by PSU’s Institute of Sustainable Solutions, this conference is relevant. Toxic chemicals stored in and near the Hub present unique emergency planning needs.
The two sponsoring organizations are part of the State Fire Marshal’s office: SERC is the State Emergency Response Commission and LEPC is the Local Emergency Planning Committee. Their local events have been informative; industry participation is broad but liquid fuel companies are not engaged.
The 2025 SERC/LEPC Conference provides an opportunity to learn more about emergency planning–from past lessons to hands-on exercises.
When: May 19-22
Where: The Chinook Winds Casino Resort, Lincoln City; Hotel paid for for most attendees; breakfast and lunch
are provided.
The deadline to register for a hotel
room is April 8; the conference deadline is April 25.
