“It takes a village to raise a child,” says a well known African proverb. Likewise, this is a challenge to Linnton residents to step up and financially support a very unique community resource – our own independent community center.
How your donations can help:
• $1,000 allows the food pantry to purchase a week’s produce supply
• $250 provides a one-week scholarship to summer camp
• $200 purchases meat for 30-50 families for 3 meals each
• $120 pays for one-month supply of gasoline for the passenger van
• $75 provides a one-day scholarship for a school break day camp
Donate a van! The Center is in need of a 15-passenger van. Donate your bottles and cans – Leave your bags of non-crushed Oregon 10-cent deposit cans and bottles by the Food Pantry. You can request blue bags which are designated for nonprofit donations at deposit centers.
To donate: contact Susy Kristin at 503-490-1541 or executivedirector@linnton.com or mail checks to Linnton Community Center, 10614 NW St Helens Rd, Portland, OR 97231.
