For 3 years, our newsletter has posted 20 business card ads at the incredibly low rate of $15 an issue. The goal? To support local businesses–about half in Linnton and half in St Johns–and this income provides valuable funding to print the newsletter which, we hope you agree, is the best ever.
I am “terming out”– we need someone to take over this gig. It’s a great way to contribute to our community and support local merchants. Here is what’s needed:
• Contact 20 merchants twice per year to confirm their ongoing ads and collect their $45 payments. A spreadsheet has details. I am happy to arrange a personal introduction.
• Choose a merchant every 2 months to feature
in the newsletter’s Sponsor Spotlight.
Collaborate with them about a brief write up
and post a picture.
• Deliver newsletters to about 10 businesses outside of Linnton. This walk in St. Johns takes about 15 to 20 minutes. The business owners are lovely people who appreciate our support as we appreciate theirs. Delivery of newsletters to Linnton merchants is done by someone else.
