Each evening will include a childrens’ community art project and music. Please register for childrens’ program.
Relax, learn, and connect with the river that unites and sustains us at these free weekly river walks, community art projects, lessons of ecology, despair and hope as we work together to heal the lower Willamette River. Each Sunday from July 7 through August 11 from 5 to 7 pm. Located at Green Anchors, next to Cathedral Park in St. Johns. Park at the Cathedral Park boat launch area and look for the gate at the west hedgerow. We will meet in the Village Area – in the gardens overlooking the river.
River School provides a space for community members to learn from knowledgeable community members while enjoying one of the river’s few accessible spots in North Portland. There will also be special activities for children related to the river. After each river walk, we will have music or spoken word artists, and an opportunity to contribute to this year’s community art project.
