Join us at the Linnton neighborhood meeting, Wednesday, July 10, 7 pm to learn more about and provide feedback on the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s “Portland Harbor Superfund Sitewide Draft Community Impacts Mitigation Plan” (CIMP). The meeting will be at the Linnton Community Center located at 10614 NW St. Helens Rd.
The Linnton neighborhood is in proximity to the Superfund Site, a 10-mile stretch of the Willamette River between the Broadway Bridge and the southern tip of Sauvie Island that has been identified by the EPA as a contamination cleanup priority from decades of industrial use.

More information about the Superfund site can be found on the EPA’s website Story Map at https://tinyurl.com/vndjuaem.
EPA has been working on this mitigation plan, a living document that serves as a guide and enforcement tool, to reduce adverse impacts to the community from future Portland Harbor cleanup activities. This document will be legally binding for the Site cleanup expected to take place over several years.
