The Covid pandemic grant-funded project to build a section of the River Trail from 107th North to the Kinder Morgan Tank Farm has taken a big step toward reality. Noel Johnson, a local developer, has signed on as the project manager and Pat Kessi, a local contractor, has signed on as construction manager.
The project has widespread support, including from City of Portland Commissioner Dan Ryan, and the Parks and Recreation Department staff have been helpful. But there are challenges to getting this done.
Mr. Johnson will join us at the September 6 Linnton neighborhood general membership meeting, 7 PM at the Linnton Community Center, 10614 NW St. Helens Rd., to discuss those challenges, present a plan to deal with them, and answer your questions.
