A dozen or so individuals joined another walking tour of the former Linnton Mill on Tuesday, May 30, to learn and see firsthand how wildlife is recovering at the former industrial turned salmon-habitat mitigation site. Participants observed what they believed was either a weasel or mink.
My personal reaction was what an amazing transformation is taking place once you get past the fence, around the big hill, and down to river level. Several times a year, Linnton residents are invited on a guided walk with a RestorCap representative to gain access past the locked gates. We’ll do our best to get more advance notice of future walks so more people can join.
