Linnton Community Center’s Bilingual Preschool and Childcare center offers morning, afternoon and full day programs for children ages 3-5. We operate Monday through Fridays throughout the year from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. We offer half day and full day scheduling options to accommodate working families. Fees are calculated on a monthly basis. A “sliding fee scale” is available upon request.
The Preschool is 1 of 400 preschool programs in the City of Portland to be a Preschool 4 all Pilot Site. We will have 10 slots available beginning September 2022. We still have available slots remaining for the remainder of the year, and the summer. The preschool prepares your child for kindergarten at Skyline School.
We have hired a new Head Teacher/Assistant Preschool Director. Please welcome Lisa Appel -Thrower to our staff when you have a chance. Before the school year started, we received grant funds to install heating and air conditioning units with built in the scrubbers to remove germs from the air in the preschool and food pantry.
Afterschool activities include healthy snacks, socialization, sports, arts, chess club, improv, and ever-changing activities. Staff are CPR and first aid certified. Give your child a safe, positive educational environment that encourages respectful socializing. Homework mentoring is available during the afterschool program.
