The Linnton Community Center is excited to offer youth 4-H clubs as part of their afternoon programming. It gives Linnton youth an opportunity to learn about the agricultural, environmental roots of this community while making friends and learning skills.
We are looking for volunteers willing to lead a group one hour a week for fall, winter or spring. Hopefully there will be two or more adults in each team. LCC center protocols for COVID and Child Safety will be in place. 4-H has many wonderful teaching curriculums or make up one of your own interests. The LCC has some great resources such as the animal area on Front Avenue, a state-of-the-art kitchen, a mini wetland and of course the forest and river near-by. The clubs will meet for one hour after the Skyline bus arrives. Please let us know if this interests you. We will provide a training session and materials. Some ideas include cooking, chicken and goat club, forest club, iPhone movie making – what are your ideas? What would your children like? Please contact Tim or Susie at the LCC if you are interested. We encourage two or more volunteers for each club.
