The Linnton Neighborhood Association will consider a motion at its July 7 meeting to amend the boundary in the NE corner of the neighborhood to incorporate river and riverfront communities that were historically included in the neighborhood boundaries.
The change is from a starting point in the middle of the Willamette River directly under the St. Johns Bridge the boundary continues following a line:
“… generally southeast along the center of the Willamette River to the point intersecting a line parallel to the Northwestern property line of 4900 NW Front Ave.;
Then, generally Southwest along that property line to the intersection of NW Front Ave. and NW Kittridge Ave.;
Then, continue Southwest following the centerline of NW Kittridge Ave. to the center point of the intersection with St. Helens Road;”
From there the boundary follows existing descriptions.
The last paragraph would be stricken referencing agreement to share an area of mutual interest with the Northwest Industrial Neighborhood Association as they are no longer a recognized neighborhood association by the City of Portland.
